Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea
from $15.00

Tickets required for entry.

Step into a cozy afternoon that feels like visiting Grandma, (if she were British). Imagine a charming English cottage, where the tea is always warm, the china is mismatched just so, and every bite is served with care.

Join us for a high tea featuring a mini, brunch-inspired fare, with thoughtfully prepared sweet and savory bites. Sip, chat, and steep yourself in stories and steaming pots of tea, in an intimate, bookish setting.

This experience is BYOB, because even Grandma understands a well-chosen pour. Juice mixers and soft drinks will be available for purchase, if you’d like to craft a sparkling mimosa or a light, fruity spritz to accompany your tea.

Get ready to settle in, and savor an afternoon designed for conversation, comfort, and a little old-world charm, with a gentle twist.

Author Joanie J. Scott Signing, Reading and Talk.

Sunday, April 29th, 2026 from 12-2 PM

In this book, which is titled “Finding Life's Purpose: Poetry, Blogging, Journaling, and Storytelling,” Joanie explores life challenges through her writing. She expresses anger, fear, optimism, love, and all the emotions we, as human beings, experience. In her poetry, she uses rhythm to express her feelings; in her blogging, she compares and contrasts the human experiences personal, professionals, and explores the experiences of known figures such as Booker T. Washington, Viktor Frankl, Simon Veil, Frederick Douglas, among others, and refers to theorists such as Erik Erikson, Viktor Frankl, Abraham Maslow, Henri Tajfel, Roscoe Pound, Talcott Parson's, and Elizabeth Kubler Ross; in her journaling, she shares her perspective on both poetry and blogging (what she was thinking, how she was feeling, and why she felt the need to write about such topics), and finally she writes fictional stories to provide a narrative about pressing social and societal issues. Some of the topics you will find in this book include:Overcoming oppressionUnemploymentRomanceBarriers in educationBarriers in healthcareCommunity IssuesHuman LawsTheoretical frameworksDeath & DyingGrievingAt the end of the book, the reader will find thought-provoking questions to reflect on their personal and professional experiences and on how they felt about the content.

Leanne Treese is an award-winning author of women's fiction and romance. Her books have each independently been described as having "all the feels." When she's not writing, Leanne loves running, forcing her family to play board games (Settlers of Catan anyone?), and spoiling her beloved dogs. A lifelong learner, Leanne's dream life would include going back to college and majoring in everything.
